Porcelain Onlays and Inlays (Indirect Porcelain Restorations)
Onlays and Inlays are made of porcelain. They are used to conservatively treat teeth.
When a tooth has severe decay, there is not enough healthy tooth structure left for a normal dental filling to protect. In these cases, a porcelain onlay can be bonded to the biting surface of the remaining tooth, restoring it to normal size and function. Porcelain onlays are much stronger than dental fillings and can last for much longer.
